Old radio broadcast from the late 1940's or early 1950's captured on a Webster Model 80 wire recorder. These models of wire recorders were manufactured in Chicago around 1947 or 1948. "Illinois Carousel" was a politically sponsored radio broadcast from the mid-1900's captured on a Webster model 80 wire recorder. Broadcast on WJJD. Conrad F. Becker was running for the office of Illinois State Treasurer and needed Buddy's help to get him there. Tuesday, April 13 is mentioned as the date of the Illinois primary elections in the recording and places the recording at the year 1948.
